Patent Transfer Matchmaking Event for Inner Mongolia, Zhejiang, and Guangdong Held in Baotou, Inner Mongolia

Recently, the Patent Transfer Matchmaking Event for Inner Mongolia, Zhejiang, and Guangdong was held in Baotou, Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region. Lu Pengqi, Deputy Director of the China National Intellectual Property Administration (CNIPA), attended the event.

Lu Pengqi emphasized that this event is a vivid practice of deepening the special campaign for patent utilization and empowering complementary industrial development between northern and southern regions through intellectual property. He expressed hope that, taking this event as an opportunity, efforts would focus on four key areas: focusing on key breakthroughs to accelerate patent transfer and application; focusing on industrialization orientation to strengthen the foundation of patent quality; focusing on coordinated collaboration to accelerate industrial transformation and upgrading; and focusing on solidifying experiences to establish long-term mechanisms for transformation.

During the event, Baotou City (Inner Mongolia) carried out activities such as project signings, technology demand releases, and roadshows for high-value patents with Hangzhou City (Zhejiang Province), Jieyang City (Guangdong Province), and others. This resulted in the signing of 16 key cooperation projects, with a total value exceeding RMB 75 million (approx. $10.5 million USD).

The event was attended by over 300 participants, including representatives from the CNIPA's Department of Promotion and Application, provincial and municipal intellectual property management departments from Zhejiang and Guangdong, universities, enterprises, and financial institutions.
