Shen Changyu Holds Bilateral Talks with KIPO Commissioner Kim Wan-ki

On May 27, during the series of meetings for the Eighteenth Annual Trilateral Cooperation among the World's Five Largest Intellectual Property Offices (IP5), Shen Changyu, Commissioner of the China National Intellectual Property Administration (CNIPA), held bilateral talks with Kim Wan-ki, Commissioner of the Korean Intellectual Property Office (KIPO).

Shen Changyu stated that KIPO is an important partner for CNIPA. Over the years, the two offices have conducted extensive exchanges in various fields of intellectual property, achieving fruitful results. Within the frameworks of trilateral cooperation among China, Japan, and South Korea, and the IP5 cooperation, the two offices have also maintained close collaboration. He expressed hope that both sides would further strengthen communication and exchanges, deepen cooperation, and achieve more outcomes in the future.

Kim Wan-ki acknowledged that through the joint efforts of both sides, practical cooperation between the two offices in multiple fields has yielded significant results. He looked forward to further deepening interaction and exchanges between the two offices under bilateral and multilateral frameworks, working together to make greater contributions to the development of the global intellectual property system.

During the meeting, the two sides held in-depth discussions on the latest work progress of both offices, as well as the developments of cooperation projects under the China-Korea, China-Japan-Korea, and IP5 frameworks.

Lu Pengqi, Deputy Commissioner of CNIPA, also attended the talks.
